iam back from Batam! okay guys , heres the low down.

It was an awesome trip. Tiring but really fruitful. Knowing that our sweat and hardwork will be made to good use by the kids at the Yayasan Pondok Pesantren Al-fateh. When we arrive , most of us were really taken aback by the condition of the home. it was really run down with rooms with no floors at all bcause construction work had to be postponed a couple of times due to insufficient funds to buy resources. We came and mixed cement , carried tiles and putting them together to make floors for the main classroom. we also painted the walls making it look nicer.

After our so called mission is complete , we were given permission to go shopping at 2 places , Nagoya hill shopping mall and Batam centre shopping mall. I prefered batam centre cos it is more suited for the needs of singaporean tourists.

i managed to get myself a bag from a surf and skate shop there. it looks nice and its cheap for an original Ripcurl bag. This bag cost me 449,000Rupiah meaning if i convert it to singapore dollars , its about $60.
